I use and teach Stata 13 and 14 on windows machines. This is a general question that has sort of bothered me for years, but that I realize my students will probably ask me next week when I teach them about exporting graphs. I know that "graph set" lets me set different parameters for graphing to the screen, to print, for eps files, and for ps files. But the graph export command clearly indicates that you cannot change the settings for exporting to pdf.
But exporting pdfs has some sort of settings, even if they cannot be changed. Does it just use the screen (windows) settings, or does it use some other settings somewhere? I cannot find any clarifying documentation on this point. I appreciate your help.
