I have some panel data that is in terms of "months since 1900" - e.g. employment experience for each month since 1900 - and some data in terms of "year" e.g. wage for each year from 1991 to 2009.
Until now I have been working with just year, but in order to make the employment experience data more accurate, I would like to express that for each month.
Is it possible to use the fillin command perhaps to merge these two together? As in, end up with 12 month values for each year, and the employment experience variable will be different for each month. All the other variables like wage and number of children would stay the same for each of the 12 months.
It is panel data so person id (pid) needs to be taken into account too...
Any help would be great!
