'No observations' error message

Hello,

I saved data from SPSS as a Stata file and it worked fine. I just added a few variables to my SPSS file and saved it again as a Stata file. Only this time I get the error message r2000 'no observations'. I only have numeric variables in my dataset and all missings are coded as 999. Why are there no observations?
