London Stata Users Group Meeting: Thursday 8 and Friday 9 September 2016

The 22nd London Stata Users Group Meeting takes place on Thursday, 8 and Friday, 9 September 2016 at Cass Business School, London.

The UK Stata Users Group meeting is a two-day international conference to discuss the use of Stata across a wide-ranging breadth of fields and environments.

Established in 1995, the UK meeting is the longest-running series of Stata Users Group meetings. The meeting is open to everyone. In past years, participants have travelled from around the world to attend the event. Representatives from StataCorp will also be in attendance.

Please email your proposal to the scientific organizers, mentioned below.

Submissions should include the name and affiliation of the author, a title and an informative abstract.

Please indicate whether you wish to give:
  • a 20-minute talk (followed by a 10-minute discussion);
  • a 10-minute talk (5-minute discussion);
  • a longer review or tutorial (about an hour); or
  • a poster presentation.
Presentation topics might include:
  • discussion of user-written Stata programs;
  • case studies of research or teaching using Stata;
  • reviews of analytical issues; and
  • surveys or critiques of Stata facilities in specific fields.
The submission deadline is Friday, 30 May 2016. The final program will be announced before the end of July 2016.
The meeting will include the usual “Wishes and grumbles” session, at which you may air your thoughts to Stata developers, and (for an additional cost) the option of an informal meal at a London restaurant on Thursday evening.

  • All prices include VAT.
  • Lunches, refreshments and all meeting materials are included within the registration fees.
Timberlake Consultants, as logistics organiser, generously sponsors registration fee waivers for presentations (one fee waiver per presentation, regardless of number of authors involved). Timberlake will also pay a small fee to a presenter of a longer review or tutorial paper.
Timberlake can also assist delegates with sourcing accommodation and other general inquiries regarding traveling or staying in London. Visitors to London might like to know that by British standards, September is usually relatively dry and warm.
