Greetings! I am a bit new to Tobit model in which I am looking for your guidance. Here is my case. I have 200 respondents of which 162 of them are users of technology with variable levels of use. What I am interested is to look at the factors that affect the use (y = (0,1)) and intensity of use of the technology (y*, y>0). Here two cases emerged i. factors that affect use and intensity of use are the same ii. there is a difference in those variables. For the first case the standard Tobit is recommended and for the second Double Hurdle Model. Assuming the two decisions (use and intensity) were not jointly made I decided to use double hurdle model (craggit command in STATA 14). Is my decision here sound?
When I go through literature I recognized that problem of hetroscedasticity and normality are two major problems. But I didn't come across with a syntax to check it like the case of Logit, example. Can you, please, show a simple way to do this?
