UK Household Panel Survey (UKHLS a.k.a Understanding Society) - Which variables do I use to look at years of employment and years of education?

Hi, I'm using the UKHLS data to analyse the gender wage gap in the UK currently. I'm looking at the data and was wondering how best to extract years of employment experience out of the data? Moreover, I wanted to extract years of education for a person. Which variables would be best to look at for these? Maybe I'm being stupid but I cant see any variable that directly helps me, I'm very new to stata and big datasets such as the UKHLS...
