I am using panel data for the first time and have a question on computing the correlations. I have data for 20 countries from 1990-2014 on several variables. However, I know that some of these variables are correlated. I want to see which ones are least correlated. For that would it be enough to run the corr command in STATA or do I have to do something else because of the panel data. Basically wondering if the corr command would account for autocorrelation. Since the exercise is just to determine which variables to keep and which to exclude. Please help. Thanks.
