Hi Statalisters,
I am trying to estimate a multinomial probit model with six outcomes. In order to tackle the IIA issues, I tried to run an asmprobit model using the syntax indicated in the Stata instructions (I use Stata 14). However, I keep getting the following error message:
"note: 1 case(36744 observations dropped due to no positive outcome or multiple positive outcomes per case"
no cases remain after removing invalid observations
r(2000)
This is the first time I use this command, but I checked my dataset very carefully, and everything seems to be fine: for each person there is always one choice made, and never more than one. Could the formatting of variables have something to do with this? I am very confused about this. Does anyone know what might be the cause of these troubles? Thanks a million, in advance.
